SchollyUp policies
Terms and Conditions
The rules for using SchollyUp, including bursary information, accounts and application tools.
Effective 24 September 2026 · Updated 24 September 2026 · Version 2026-09-24-1
The student platform is in private testing. Public registration, paid checkout and AI tools are not currently available. These policies describe current pilot processing and applicable future service terms.
Who operates SchollyUp
SchollyUp is operated by SCHOLLYUP (PTY) LTD, a South African private company (registration number 2026/756249/07). In these Terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean SCHOLLYUP (PTY) LTD. Contact info@schollyup.com about this policy. Our registered office is 109 Kingfisher Avenue, Germiston, Gauteng, 1428, South Africa.
By creating an account or using SchollyUp, you agree to these Terms. You can browse public bursary information without an account. Read our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.
Accounts and student information
Use an email address you control, keep your sign-in details secure, and provide accurate profile, academic and application information. Do not use someone else's identity or documents without authority.
The service includes school learners. Our treatment of information about users under 18 is under legal review; please contact us before providing another child's information. We do not treat accepting these Terms as blanket consent to process a child's information.
What the service does
SchollyUp provides South African bursary discovery, published requirement summaries, profile and marks-based matching, saved opportunities and, where available to your account, application tracking, deadline tools and preparation checklists.
A match indicator is guidance based on the requirements we have stored and the information you supply. It is not an eligibility certificate, an admissions decision or a guarantee of funding. A verified-source label records a source check, not a promise that every detail remains current.
Bursary providers may change or withdraw an opportunity. Always confirm marks, citizenship, income, documents, dates and the application process on the provider's current official website.
Official applications and external sites
You must review and submit each application yourself on the official provider website. SchollyUp does not silently submit applications and does not make provider decisions. External sites have their own terms and privacy practices; a link does not imply affiliation or endorsement.
Plans and payment
Public browsing and a basic account are free. The site describes Student Plus and a once-off Application Toolkit, but paid checkout is currently disabled during the pilot. No paid service is purchased by viewing a price or clicking a disabled button.
If paid checkout is enabled, its displayed price, renewal interval and payment terms will apply when you authorise payment. Paystack processes payment information on its hosted pages; we do not ask you to enter full card details into SchollyUp. Read the Subscription and Billing Terms and Refund and Cancellation Policy before buying.
AI and student work
AI-assisted coaching and generation are currently disabled in the pilot. If enabled later, outputs may be inaccurate or unsuitable. You must review them, keep your own voice and follow the funder's academic-integrity rules. AI never creates bursary catalogue records or decides funding.
You retain ownership of the profile answers, notes and documents you provide. You grant us only the permission needed to store, process, display and secure that material to provide the service and respond to your requests. Do not upload unlawful material or another person's private information without authority.
Acceptable use and intellectual property
Do not commit fraud, impersonate others, bypass access controls, overload or disrupt the site, distribute malware, scrape at scale, or automate submissions to bursary providers. Ordinary personal browsing and use of the service are allowed.
The SchollyUp software, interface, original content and branding belong to us or are licensed to us. Provider names and third-party content remain their respective owners' property. We do not claim ownership of your documents.
Availability, responsibility and ending an account
We work to keep the service available and information current, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, complete listings, successful reminders, eligibility, acceptance or an award. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that South African law does not allow us to exclude, including applicable consumer rights.
We may reasonably restrict access to address security, fraud, unlawful use or material breach. You can request account deletion from your Account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation of a paid plan does not delete your account or saved data.
Complaints and changes
These Terms are governed by South African law, subject to mandatory consumer rights. Send complaints to info@schollyup.com; we will review them and explain the next step. You may pursue any regulator, ombud or court remedy available by law.
We will date material changes and give notice where appropriate. We may request fresh acceptance when required. The effective and update date of this version is shown below.
